No water, no life! No blue, no green!

Throughout this unit, we are learning about the properties of water (for which we did the experiments), water usage and conservation, distribution and availability of usable water, and most importantly, our responsibility towards the water. 

It takes nothing away from a human to be kind to an animal

Or another human, might we add.

In this case, words are not even necessary. The final project within our Habitats unit was great, we are thrilled.

The little humanitarians were engaged in some pottery work today. This was truly a service as action, they put their whole heart into it.

A spin on the traditional book report

After reading "Just Grace Goes Green" by Charise Mericle Harper, our English A students put a twist on traditional written book reports and made them come alive. Now, their book reports can hang in our classroom for everyone to see and serve as a lovely decoration. 

Visit to the Local Post Office

Although today we mostly use emails for communicating with our friends that are not close by, it is still very important to know how to properly write a letter. This time, we decided on sending it 'the old fashioned way', by going to the post office and sending a letter they wrote to a class friend.

With the sun coming out, we are hoping to see some butterflies in our school yard soon!
