Celebrating Home Languages on the occasion of International Mother Language Day
From February 23rd to 27th, our school celebrated International Mother Language Day. To honour this occasion, our community came together through a week of activities that showcased our linguistic and cultural diversity. Both parents and students contributed by leading cultural presentations, highlighting the importance of preserving our home languages.
Valentine’s Shadow Box Hearts Exhibition
The tradition of preserving memories in decorative boxes dates back to the Victorian era, when beautifully crafted heart-shaped chocolate boxes were often saved to hold letters and small treasures.
“Tell Me with Art – Reci mi to likovnim jezikom” International Art Competition
In December 2025, our MYP2 students, Adél Nerpel and Nidhi Elise Booth, participated in the international art competition titled Tell Me with Art – Reci mi to likovnim jezikom, held under the theme My Magical Homeland.
Visit to the Children's Home 2025
On December 18th, MYP class representatives visited the Children’s Home “Alojzije Stepinac” to deliver Christmas presents generously donated by the students, parents, and teachers of our school as part of our humanitarian action.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and the children greeted us with kindness and smiles. We sang a song for the children called “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Advent at Gubec
On December 16th, our school came together to celebrate Advent at Gubec, a colourful and joyful event that brought PYP and MYP students, parents, and teachers together in a warm and festive atmosphere. The celebration was filled with creativity, collaboration, and shared moments that truly captured the spirit of the season.
Families enjoyed a wide range of interactive workshops and activities, where students, parents, and teachers worked side by side, exploring their creativity and learning together.
Participation of our Students in the Art Competition Marking the 1100th Anniversary of the Coronation of King Tomislav
In May 2025, students of the MYP2 class took part in an art competition organised by King Tomislav Primary School in Zagreb to mark the 1100th anniversary of the coronation of King Tomislav. The competition received more than 300 artworks from 40 schools across Croatia.
