First things first – creating the PYP2’s Essential Agreement.

Essential Agreement is an important part of every PYP Class, and is a product of cooperation and respect.

What is an essential agreement?

What does “essential” mean?

What does “agreement” mean?

Why we want to act in a certain way, and what kind of people would we like to become? We want our students to go beyond rules to the reasons behind them, and understand that what we value is most reflected by how we act.

If we keep these things in mind, we do not really need “rules”; instead we have a goal of who we want to become.
