GubeX are back from Bulgaria – with a trophy!
From April 24th to 27th, our talented robotics team, GubeX Enterprise, achieved outstanding success at the prestigious international FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics Festival held in Burgas, Bulgaria. Competing against a strong lineup of international teams, the students of Matija Gubec Primary School returned home proud and victorious, winning the award for the Most Motivated Team!
Erasmus+ Programme – Visit from Rome
As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, students and teachers from two schools in Rome – Scuola Don Bosco and Scuola Maria Ausiliatrice – visited our school on 16th and 17th April 2026 for a cultural and educational exchange.
Our Co-Op Students at the International Practice Firm Fair
On April 15th, MYP representatives of our School Co-Op, Luka Z. (MYP0) and Luka R. (MYP1), participated in the 23rd International Practice Firm Fair.
STEM Club Visit to MUZZA Science Week
On 10 April 2026, MYP students from the STEM Club extracurricular activity, accompanied by teacher Mirna, attended MUZZA Science Week at the MUZZA Interpretation Centre at the University of Zagreb Rectorate.
MYP Field Trip to Austria: From Mozart to Formula 1
From March 12th to 15th, we went on a four-day trip to Austria, visiting the International School of Carinthia, the Pyramidenkogel, the Hallein Salt Mine, the cities of Salzburg and Linz, and the Formula 1 racetrack in Spielberg. We stayed in Salzburg during the trip.
Our Creative Day at the French Institute
On March 18th, MYP students who take French as an optional subject visited the French Institute in the centre of town. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the French attaché and two members of a Moroccan band.
