MYP 2 Croatian LL project – From Greek myth to modern phrase
Our project was to make and present our given Greek myths in an interesting way that would
surprise the teacher, powering your imagination to push boundaries to the maximum.
Mental Health Awareness Week
Harmonizing body and mind through movement – side effect of art
Focusing on the positive impact of art on the body, mind and soul, MYP2 students investigated the ideal proportions of the human body and illustrated the harmony and coordination between body and movement through poster-making in their Visual Art class.
Field trip to Papuk Nature Park
At the beginning of October, MYP2 students went on a field trip to one of Slavonia’s favourite excursion sites – Papuk Nature Park, the first (and only) Croatian UNESCO Global Geopark.
During our trip, we explored the Park's key biological, geological, and cultural historical sites. Our adventure began at Duboka Adrenaline Park, where we engaged in a variety of sports activities. After lunch, we continued our exploration in Jankovac Forest Park, taking a guided walking tour along the Count’s Educational Trail.
MYP2 and MYP3 Field Trip to Lika and Hrvatsko primorje
From May 8th to 10th, 2024 the MYP2 and MYP3 students went on a three-day field trip to Lika and Hrvatsko primorje. We visited Rastoke, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Grabovača Cave Park, Gacka Valley and ended our tour in the surrounding coastal area – Senj and Novi Vinodolski.
Rimac Factory Tour
On April 24th the MYP2 and MYP3 students visited the Rimac Factory. During the guided tour of the facility we explored the entire manufacturing process, from the engineering offices to the final testing grounds where cars like the sensational Nevera, one of the fastest electric cars on the planet, come to life.
Novigradsko proljeće 2024
In the week from April 6th to 13th in Novigrad in Istria, the Croatian teacher Ms. Mirjana and I attended the School of Creativity called ‘Novigradsko proljeće’. It is a seven-day program featuring a common theme and offering 21 diverse workshops tailored for motivated and potentially gifted primary and high school students.
