These past few weeks in PYP1 were all about the Winter Olympics. We have learned so much about winter sports, Olympic Games and ceremonies that are held during the Games. Although to us this is all a part of our imagination, some people played at Olympic Games and even got real medals. Not only that one of the Croatian Olympic medal winners lives in Zagreb, but he even went to our school. Do you maybe know who that is? Damir Martin! Sounds familiar? He is a well-known rower and a proud owner of 3 Olympic medals (two silver medals and one bronze medal). Last Thursday PYP1 students had the opportunity to interview him over Zoom. Before the interview, we made a list of questions. There were so many important questions we wanted to ask him. We wanted to know what he liked about our school, what his training looks like, for how long he can row professionally and many more. He answered all our questions and was a great guest.
