We look at the banknotes most days, but how much attention do we really pay to who is on our money?

On the occasion of the International Mother Language Day the MYP students and the national programme students jointly participated in an interesting project. The MYP students were expected to propose their designs for the euro banknotes featuring important people or landmarks from their country while the national programme students were expected to choose the most important persons in the Croatian literature and incorporate them into their design. On a list of people who the national programme students have nominated to be on the euro banknotes are Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, Mato Lovrak, Dobriša Cesarić and Miro Gavran.

The students' designs were brilliant and imaginative. We are pleased to enclose herewith a gallery of students’ proposals and to exhibit their work in the school hall and school library.
