This year in the period from 22nd till 25th April, we joined the national event called Noć knjige (The Book Night). For us who work in the MG school library, the final part of that event was up to us since the students were on their spring holidays.

On Monday 25th April, all students visited the school library with their homeroom teachers to get acquainted with the event and reiterate the importance of reading.

Reading, from an early age, encourages the development of communication skills, enriches and develops vocabulary, develops critical thinking and creativity, and influences the development of empathy. In the increasingly pronounced digital age, it is important to single out the strong influence of reading on concentration.

At the end of the visit, the students borrowed books that they read in the evening with their families. See photos of the evening family gatherings with the book in the gallery.
