If you are wondering how to have a great time on Friday evenings, our answer is - at the Tea Party with a Writer.

During the Croatian Book Month (October 15 - November 15), under the expert guidance of the Croatian language teacher Mrs. Lešćan and with the help of the school librarians, the students showed that good poetry is always valued and reciting it is not an activity forgotten in some past time.

The group of about thirty students participated in a rich program, divided into three lyrical parts: they recited landscape, love and thought lyrics of the Croatian anthology poets: Vesna Parun, Tin Ujević, Dragutin Tadijanović, Dobriša Cesarić, Joža Skok and Gustav Krklec.

In addition to the reciters, the pleasant atmosphere was equally contributed by our talented students who, in the musical intermezzo, showed real virtuosity on their instruments: violin, piano and clarinet.

An excellent job was also done by our presenters, who led us through this great gathering without any stage fright.

It was festive, inspiring, touching and fun.

At the end of the program, both the participants and the audience refreshed themselves with a cup of hot tea and tea rings - the perfect addition to a good mood in that foggy and cold Zagreb evening.
