Civic Education and Geography class

On 21th of March the MYP3 students celebrated two important things that were happening that week.

First we were happy because the spring has sprung! The students explained through a poster how the Earth's revolution directly affects the changing seasons, but also how the Earth's revolution affects the duration of a day. And on the first day of spring the night and day have the same duration. How interesting!

Also, we celebrated the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The 2023 theme was the urgency of combating racial discrimination. Although the Declaration of Human Rights was constituted 75 years ago, still too many individuals are suffering from the injustice and stigma of racism. We understand that the first step in preventing social injustice is to study about it, to know all its shapes and forms, so we know how to prevent it.
