Visiting Klovićevi dvori

Visiting Klovićevi dvori

On the 18th of April, students from PYP3 and PYP4 had an exciting opportunity to explore the art of Oton Iveković, a renowned Croatian artist, during an art-making trip to Klovićevi dvori gallery.

The exhibition featured many well-known paintings, such as "Vivat Rex" and "The Execution of Matija Gubec", which gave students an opportunity to appreciate and learn about Croatian art and culture.

As part of the trip, the students also participated in a workshop where they had to choose one of the paintings from the exhibition and recreate it themselves. This hands-on approach allowed them to deepen their understanding of the techniques and styles used by Oton Iveković and gave them the opportunity to express their own creativity.

It is wonderful to see schools providing students with opportunities to explore and appreciate art in a fun and engaging way. By exposing children to art and culture, schools can help foster creativity, curiosity, and a sense of appreciation for diverse perspectives. The gallery also provided a platform for the students to showcase their masterpieces, which is a great way to celebrate their hard work and creativity.
