As a part of our intriguing Unit of Inquiry "Who We Are", we recently had the privilege of a very special guest at our school – Dr. Ema Ivandić. Dr. Ivandić, a dedicated nephrologist working in a hospital, enlightened us about her vital profession. For those unfamiliar, a nephrologist is a specialized doctor focusing on kidney health.

During her engaging session, Dr. Ivandić took us on a fascinating journey into the intricate world of kidneys. We delved into understanding what kidneys are, how they function, and most importantly, how to maintain these vital organs for a healthy life. The depth of knowledge she shared was invaluable, providing us with insights that will stay with us for a lifetime.

To make the learning experience even more engaging, Dr. Ivandić brought along a model of the human heart. Through hands-on exploration, we got to see and feel the complexities of this essential organ. Equipped with stethoscopes, we listened intently, captivated by the rhythmic beats that sustain our lives.
