Rimac Factory Tour

Rimac Factory Tour

On April 24th the MYP2 and MYP3 students visited the Rimac Factory. During the guided tour of the facility we explored the entire manufacturing process, from the engineering offices to the final testing grounds where cars like the sensational Nevera, one of the fastest electric cars on the planet, come to life.

One of the highlights of the tour was the showroom where we met iconic Concept One, the technology in other hypercars and the latest – the Nevera. In the upholstery department we watched the process of building the interior of hypercars: embossing, sewing, cutting, here everything is handmade. As the tour progressed, we were led through the various stages of production - machining, production of composites and components in the cars, battery production and vehicle assembly. Of particular interest was the glimpse into battery production - a crucial aspect of electric vehicles that is shaping the future of sustainable transportation. The tour concluded with a Q&A session, where we had the opportunity to engage directly with our guide and gain insights into the future of manufacturing.

The tour was more than just a showcase of machinery and techniques. It sparked a sense of curiosity and wonder about the future of automotive technology. We left the factory with a newfound appreciation and desire to explore electric hypercars of the 21st century and the technologies driving them forward.
