Visit to the newly opened VR cinema

On May 28th, 2024 the students who have excelled this year in school competitions were invited to a special visit to the newly opened VR Cinema ‘KEK’. At the cinema we watched the documentary movie ‘Hunters Gatherers' with virtual reality technology and had an opportunity to participate in a discussion with our school’s esteemed alumnus and famous travel writer, Mr. Davor Rostuhar. We learned about the motivation behind his travels, how the first Croatian documentary VR 3D film "Hunter Gatherers" was created, about the life of the Hadza tribe members with whom he spent three weeks in Tanzania, and about his future plans.

The virtual reality cinema experience was incredible and unlike anything we have ever experienced before. As soon as we put on the VR headset, we were transported to a completely different and fascinating world of the Hadza tribe, the "last first people in the world", as the author describes them. We could experience their way of life in stunning detail through VR technology. The graphics were so realistic and detailed, making us feel like we were a part of the movie!

We were grateful for the opportunity to learn in such a unique and innovative way, and extend our thanks to Mr. Rostuhar for offering us this amazing adventure.
