PYP4 Students Explore the Renaissance at the School Fair
On a special day at our school, the enthusiastic learners from PYP4 had an exciting opportunity to step back in time at a school fair held in the hallway. The fair was dedicated to exploring history, and this year’s theme focused on Matija Gubec and life in the Renaissance.
Through interactive displays and engaging activities, the students learned about the remarkable story of Matija Gubec, a historical figure known for his leadership in the Croatian-Slovene Peasant Revolt of 1573. They discovered what life was like during the Renaissance—how people dressed, what they ate, and how they worked.
The students particularly enjoyed trying on Renaissance-style accessories and listening to fascinating stories about knights, castles, and the struggles of common people during that era. The event was a fantastic way to make history come alive, sparking curiosity and excitement among our young historians.
We are proud of our PYP4 learners for their enthusiasm and eagerness to explore the past. This fair was just the beginning of their historical adventures, and we look forward to many more engaging learning experiences ahead!
