St. Nicholas Day at Our School

St. Nicholas Day at Our School

On December 6th, we celebrate the feast of St. Nicholas, the patron saint of children, travelers, and sailors.

According to legend, St. Nicholas was known for his kindness and his care for the poor. The story of the three girls to whom he secretly threw small bags of gold coins through the window, and later down the chimney so he wouldn’t be discovered, inspired the tradition of placing gifts in boots and stockings—a custom preserved to this day.

Although St. Nicholas did not physically visit our school, his kindness filled the hallways once again this year. On Friday, December 5th, students found a sweet surprise waiting in their lockers, bringing genuine smiles to many faces.
