Participation in the FIRST LEGO League Competition in Pula
On Saturday, 7 February, students from our school participated in the FIRST LEGO League competition held in Pula, accompanied and led by physics teacher Marko Šolić and school librarian Mirna Krajačić.
A total of 10 students represented the school: 7 students from the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP0 and MYP2) and 3 students from Grade 7 of the national programme. The competition challenges students to integrate robotics, coding, research skills, and collaborative problem-solving, all of which strongly align with the MYP approach to learning.
Throughout the event, students demonstrated excellent teamwork, commitment, and communication skills, representing the school with confidence and enthusiasm. Their engagement and positive attitude reflected the IB learner profile attributes, particularly collaboration, perseverance, and reflective thinking.
Based on the results, the team is currently on the waiting list for the National Finals of the FIRST LEGO League, which will take place in Zagreb.
We would like to thank the parents for their continued support and commend our students for their hard work and dedication. Participation in events such as FIRST LEGO League provides meaningful learning experiences that foster innovation, critical thinking, and real-world application of MYP skills.
