Erasmus+ Programme – Visit from Rome
As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, students and teachers from two schools in Rome – Scuola Don Bosco and Scuola Maria Ausiliatrice – visited our school on 16th and 17th April 2026 for a cultural and educational exchange.
The visit began with a warm welcome and a guided tour of our school, which was led throughout by our Italian teacher, Ms. Jelena Rimay, who acted as the main host and introduced the guests to our learning environment and school community.
Students and teachers then took part in a series of collaborative workshops organised by Croatian Language teachers Ms. Janja Leščan and Ms. Barbara Čičmak, Geography teacher Ms. Magdalena Geček, and Visual Arts teacher Ms. Ivana Devernay Cimić. These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity, and intercultural understanding, allowing students from both countries to learn with and from each other in a dynamic setting.
The following day, the programme continued with a student-led walking tour of Zagreb. Our students, accompanied by their teachers, proudly guided the visiting group through the city’s streets, presenting key cultural and historical landmarks in both the Upper Town and the Downtown areas. The tour highlighted not only Zagreb’s rich heritage but also the communication and leadership skills of our students. This activity allowed them to deepen their understanding of local history while practising public speaking and collaborative learning. The Erasmus+ visit created a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange, new friendships, and shared learning experiences. Both students and teachers reflected positively on the programme, emphasising its role in broadening perspectives and strengthening international cooperation.
