From April 24th to 27th, our talented robotics team, GubeX Enterprise (Abhyudaya, Roman, Görkem, Jan H., Mark, Nidhi, Adel, Zofia, Gabriela K., Gabriela M. and Jan V.) achieved outstanding success at the prestigious international FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics Festival held in Burgas, Bulgaria. Competing against a strong lineup of international teams, the students of Matija Gubec International School returned home proud and victorious, winning the award for the Most Motivated Team!

FIRST LEGO League is about much more than just building robots. It is a comprehensive program that challenges students to design innovative solutions to real-world problems, program an autonomous robot, and demonstrate Core Values such as teamwork, inclusion, and discovery. The members of team GubeX excelled across all categories throughout the weekend, but they truly impressed the judges with their incredible energy, unity, and infectious enthusiasm, rightfully earning them this special recognition.

This major milestone would not have been possible without months of hard work and dedication from both the students and their mentors. The team was guided at the competition and during the trip by mentors Irena Šafarik and Marko Šolić. Furthermore, mentor Mirna Krajačić played a crucial role in the extensive preparations, strategy development, and project refinement leading up to the event.
