Making shapes with our bodies
What is more fun for children than making shapes (and letters) using their bodies? The best way to learn all that corners, sides, curved, straight lines, paralle, longer, shorter sides etc.
Also, if they are unable to make a shape alone, on their own, the activity can teach them cooperation and is great for visual spatial skills.
Building new vocabulary is not easy when the new words sound like horizontal, vertical or parallel, but with the help of our bodies and some old-fashioned games such as „Day-Night“, it does become easier.
Check out how we do it with our bodies, since we in PYP1 do not just fill in „boring“ worksheets. :)
