One day when we grow up...
Future. What’s behind that door?
Every child has a dream about what to become one day when they grow up. Some of them change their opinions quite often and some of them stick to their first heart’s desire.
A vet. A scientist. An engineer. A make-up artist. A teacher. A doctor… The list goes on and on.
During our second Unit of Inquiry – How we organize ourselves, we have been dealing with how people choose different jobs within their communities, as the Central idea.
This Tuesday was special because we had a surprise coming up but we needed to find out what it is about – we got some puzzles which we needed to match in order to guess the surprise. And it was a success! A football team and a football.
Modrić. Messi. FIFA. Football pitch. 11 players. Healthy food. Exercising.
Finally we went to the gym. Organised our changing rooms like true professionals and went inside.
Everybody went wild - A football coach, Igor Bišćan, was standing there and waiting just for us.
We first talked about advantages and disadvantages of being a football coach and a professional football player.
What are the rights and duties of a coach? What skills and attitudes are required for a career of a coach? What is the most difficult thing about being one? What about if you want to quit your job?... Those were just some of the questions that were asked.
We inquired about these lines of inquiry and got all the answers from the first hand.
Then he showed us some special football moves which we are going to keep for ourselves.
Key words: Responsibility, cooperation and fair play.
At last, of course, we couldn’t wait to start to play the second most important thing in the world! Go PYP 2!
