Is there a future Miljenko Sijerković or Zoran Vakula in PYP 2 Class?

Is there a future Miljenko Sijerković or Zoran Vakula in PYP 2 Class?

Who are meteorologists and how do they know what the weather is going to be like? We decided to find out.

For our summative assessment at the end of The Weather Unit we worked in pairs and groups. We had to implement all our learnt and gained knowledge and present a weather forecast of a country of choice.

We chose the weather forecast maps and rubrics/check lists and started working on our presentations. Everything was supposed to be included – the weather, the temperatures (in Celsius or Fahrenheit), precipitation, the possibility of severe weather phenomena, the clothes to be worn and activities which could be done.

After written presentations, we practiced how to be real meteorologists and how to present the forecast orally. Finally, we made a TV screen and the Weather Forecast Programme could begin.

A mixture of cooperation, self-confidence, responsibility, encouragement, creative and critical thinking. Giving feedback to each other, suggesting ideas and what could be done better.

It is not easy to be behind the screen.
