Welcome to the New School Year
Dear MYP Parents and Students,
We would like to extend a warm welcome back to all of our returning students and a warm welcome to our new students. We hope you had a wonderful summer holiday and wish all of you to come back to school with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the school year ahead.
While we are facing the continuation of these challenging times and preparing for the safe learning of our students, we have adopted many protocols based on the guidelines and recommendations by the Croatian Institute of Public Health and the Ministry of Education.
The school year 2020/2021 starts on September 7th according to the ‘First Day Protocol’ guidelines.
Going back to school this fall will require schools and families to work together even more than before in order to provide the best and safest education possible in these demanding circumstances. Our teachers and staff will teach and encourage preventive behaviours at school. Likewise, it will be important for families to emphasize and model healthy behaviours at home and to talk to your children about changes to expect this school year.
What will a return to school during the COVID-19 pandemic look like?’
There are many hygiene and health safe procedures that the students will be acquainted with on our first days at school. The students and parents are expected to adhere to all new procedures so the school can follow the guidelines for health and safety. Please read all our guidelines, but be aware that some of the specific things may be adapted over the next few days depending on the epidemiological situation.
We are excited to welcome our students and cannot wait to finally see all of them. School will feel a little different at first, as we learn all the new health measures and begin to get comfortable with them but we are eager to get started with this year’s activities.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday!
