International Celebration Week

International Celebration Week

Each year at MG international School students and parents spend countless hours preparing for one of the best days of the year: International Community Day that we usually mark in October. With such an international student body, it is no surprise that we dedicate this day each year to learning about the world.

This year we embraced the celebration by showcasing within our grade-level 'bubbles' during the International Celebration Week from October 26th to 30th.

We celebrated the variety of cultures, heritages and backgrounds that each student brought to our unique community. Our students took us on a trip around the world to visit many countries - Canada, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, USA and Zimbabwe. We enjoyed expanding our knowledge boundaries and engaging with a variety of cultures.

We would like to thank all the students for their enthusiastic participation and their families for making this week so enjoyable for all of us. In addition to promoting intercultural awareness in our school community, it has been so nice to focus on the idea of travelling without travelling, especially at this time while travelling is on hold due to coronavirus outbreak.
