Successful Completion of IB Programme Evaluation
Dear Parents and Students,
It is our pleasure to inform you that the recent evaluation of the PYP and MYP programmes at Matija Gubec International School has been successfully completed.
Grape-Picking Field Trip to Marija Bistrica
On October 15th, MYP students went on a field trip to Marija Bistrica. This town is famous for its vineyards and cultural heritage.
The main activity was picking grapes. Everyone got a basket and helped pick grapes from the vines. It was fun, and we learned how much work it takes to grow and take care of grapes. The views of the hills and countryside were very pretty.
Welcome Back! 2025/2026 School Year Begins
Dear Parents and Students,
We are delighted to welcome back our returning students and extend a warm greeting to those who are joining our school community for the first time. We hope you had a wonderful summer break and are ready to begin the new school year with fresh energy and enthusiasm.
The school year 2025/2026 will begin on Monday, 8th September 2025. All MYP students should arrive at 9:20 a.m. at the main school entrance, where their homeroom teachers will greet them and lead them to their classrooms.
ARTificial intelligence
ARTificial intelligence project is designed for primary school students aged 11 to 15 and was carried out during the 2024–2025 school year. The project is conceived as both a school-based and international collaboration involving five partner schools.
School Co-Op Contest 2025
Our dedicated Co-Op student, Adél from MYP1, proudly represented our school at the 22nd Review of School Cooperatives of the City of Zagreb, held at Zrinjevac on June 4, 2025. She presented the collaborative project work of MYP1 students and showcased the activities of our School Co-Op ‘That's it!’
Adél demonstrated how to create an interactive postcard featuring a QR code, highlighting the stitching technique used in the process.
Community Projects 2024/2025
On June 3rd, we proudly hosted our Community Project Showcase, where MYP3 students presented the projects they had developed to take meaningful action in service of the local community. Throughout the process, students worked diligently in teams, learning valuable skills in project management, effective communication, and collaboration as they pursued their chosen goals.
